Zhu De

1 December 1886 - 6 July 1976 was a Chinese general, military strategist, politician and revolutionary in the CCP where he ascended through the ranks of the Chinese Red Army. He served as commander-in-chief of the Eighth Route Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War and commander-in-chief of the Eighth Route Army during the Chinese Communist Revolution, and the People's Liberation Army after liberation.
